Editing is important!

You are the expert and specialist regarding your subject, but you are not necessarily a language expert. You need words to communicate all your hard work to the people in your academic/business field.

Formal (or academic) documents often need language editing for the following reasons:

• Your audience expects high quality work.

• Poor language causes prejudice against the author.

• The document is linked to your name.

• The writer falls into writing traps:
